This beachside escape in Mararikulam near Alleppey is a peaceful sanctuary where guests can switch off and tune into the sounds of nature, like the symphony of waves lapping the nearby shoreline of the Arabian Sea and the melodies of bird song.
With only four roomy cottages set in a large lush garden full of palm trees and tropical plants, this is not a resort but more like an exclusive hideaway that ensures ample space and privacy for every guest.
The cottages are designed for outdoor living with indoor and outdoor spaces merging seamlessly. The airy guest rooms open onto spacious verandas with comfortable sitting areas and an open-air private dining area. Most bathrooms are also open to the outdoors and are another way to commune with nature. Though the cottages are traditional in style and tastefully decorated with a simple uncluttered aesthetic, they do not lack the usual modern comforts you’d expect, like air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
The ocean is only steps away. Dive into its waves or relax on the sandy beach. Watch fisherman arrive with their catch in traditional boats. Or enjoy a sunset stroll along the shoreline.
This place is located rt next to the beach. A small walk through a few shacks and beach is rt there. It's one of the few clean beaches. Room was spacious, the private pool was the best feature. Food was delicious. We mostly had traditional kerala food. Sea food was amazing. There was a nice sitout space in the front which had the dining table. The dining experience was very good.
If you want a place that is laid back and bohemian...look no further. Everything is pretty relaxing here...we stayed in a pool villa. The villa was pretty rustic and traditional in looks. The walls and floors will all remind you of old style Kerala. The property opens up on to a beach which like 30 mtrs away. The beach is secluded with not much footfall in the month of March. It’s the best place to stay if you want to just chill.
